Governing Board Members
Board President – Stephen Toms
Stephen Toms was appointed to the DMCS Board in January 2013. He has close to 15 years of experience working in the biotechnology industry, serving in a variety of analysis, quality and strategic planning roles. He currently works for a multinational medical technology firm based in the Bay Area. Stephen and his wife Joy live in Fairfield with their three sons, twins Mathew and Jacob, who attend DMCS, and William.

Board Treasurer – Vicki Gracia
Vicki Gracia was appointed to the DMCS board Sept 2012. She previously worked as a culinary trained Pastry Chef and assisted in kitchen/restaurant management. Currently she manages an office for a large landscaping company. Vicki has lived in Dixon for 8 years with her (identical twin) sister Lori and their two children Emma and Wesley, both of whom attend DMCS.

Board Secretary- Sonia Sedillo
Sonia Sedillo (Green) was appointed to the board in March of 2013. Sonia has a Master’s of Business Administration in Accounting, a Bachelors of Science in Financial Forensics and is a Forensic Accountant. The majority of her expertise and knowledge are in the areas of forensic accounting, fraud investigation and taxation. She also has experience in policy creation and implementation, governance, forecasting, organizational behavior, project management and business consulting. Sonia has two children who attend DMCS.

Board Member – Mary Ann Courville
Mary Ann Courville was appointed to the DMCS Board in May 2013. She has a BA degree in English, and holds a credential in Secondary Education. She taught junior high students in El Cerrito, San Francisco, and South Bend, Indiana. In 1992 she worked as the Crime Watch Coordinator at the Dixon Police Department. Beginning in 1996, she served 12 years on the Dixon City Council. First as the Vice-Mayor for four years, and then elected again to serve 8 years as the Mayor for the City of Dixon. Mary Ann and her husband have been married for 36 years. They have four children, and five grandchildren. Her granddaughter attends DMCS.

Board Member – Dean Crechriou
Dean is a retired educator with cumulative educational experience totaling 44 years, 26 of those as Superintendent or Superintendent-Principal. The last 6 years of that experience was Regional Director of Region 7 of the Regional System of District and School Support working with schools in a six county region to meet the accountability requirements of “No Child Left Behind.” Post retirement Dean has continued to be active in education through consulting, serving on a school site council, and serving as treasurer of the CA Coop Directors Association. As an officer of the association Dean assisted in the development and delivery of an annual statewide conference involving the California Department of Education personnel. Dean is married and has three grown children. Dean has two grandchildren who attend Dixon Montessori Charter School.

Dennis Ballance
Dennis Ballance was appointed to the Board in January 2011. He is a veterinarian with a strong background in information technology, medical informatics, and management. Dennis currently works for VCA, a veterinary hospital corporation, and he has provided technology leadership for the school since its inception. He and his wife Jenni have lived in Dixon for ten years, and his two daughters attend DMCS.
